Radar
How the radar is computed, what it shows, and what it does not show.
The radar cell
A radar cell is a coarse area, roughly one kilometre across, used to broadcast and discover active intents. The exact cell boundaries are an implementation detail of the server.
Distance and direction
Distance is rounded to whole metres. Direction is quantized to a coarse sector. Both are deliberately approximate.
What the radar does not show
It does not show exact coordinates, names, handles, avatars, or movement history. It does not render a map. It does not render streets, addresses, or pins tied to a real geography.
